TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State men's and women's tennis will both compete in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, announced Tuesday by the NCAA.

The FSU men will make their 12th consecutive NCAA appearance. The No. 30 Noles were selected to the Gainesville region and will face No. 22 USF Saturday, May 10. The winner advances to take on the winner of No. 14 Florida and St. John's (NY).

"It's a good opportunity down there," said head coach Dwayne Hultquist. "I was actually pretty surprised on the draw. They've kept teams that we're real familiar with together. We played both USF and Florida this year and we also play in a region where we play them in the fall as well. We're going to be very knowledgeable on both teams. We look forward to the opportunity to go down there and complete. We have a battle against South Florida in the first round."

The Florida State women are making their eighth straight appearance in the NCAA Championships. They will compete in the Athens, GA region beginning Friday, May 9 against No. 23 Arizona in round one with the winner advancing to face either No. 1 Georgia or Elon.

"We are completely psyched," said head coach Jennifer Hyde. "The NCAA Tournament is why you compete all season long. The best of the best are in the Championships and we are excited to be heading to Athens. We are facing an Arizona team that Florida State hasn't played since my senior year of college in 1994."
