In Washington, Marquette raced out to a 29-16 halftime lead over Miami in the first game of a doubleheader. The second game in the East Regional pits No. 1 Indiana and fourth seed Syracuse.
The West Regional has resumed in Los Angeles where Arizona has opened a double digit lead over Ohio State in the first half. The second game at Staples Center features two of the surprise teams in the tournament No. 9 Wichita State against 13th seed LaSalle.
Play continues tomorrow with South Regional play in Arlington, Texas and Midwest Regional action in Indianapolis.
