TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - National Signing Day is put in the national spotlight because of football, but it's not just football players we're celebrating this week.

Leon swim stand-out Kyndall Cardoso signed on Thursday, and Thomas University is her destination.

She'll bring in a 7th place finish at state in the butterfly to college, and she's ready to see where she can go as a NightHawk.

"I'm just glad I have the opportunity for kids that don't in order to come out here and get to sign," she said. "To get to swim in college on top of academics is really a great thing for me. I'm so excited to go to this school. I'm ready to go now, honestly!"

Florida High had seven kids sign on Wednesday, two to FAMU for football, while their teammates Collier Spinosa and Anthony Belton signed with Fairmont State and Georgia Military Institute respectively.

The Seminoles also had three non-football signings. Brady Blackburn, a baseball player signed with Marian Military Institute.
