SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Florida State senior forward Natasha Howard set a new school-record by scoring 40 points in a road win over Syracuse 83-59 Thursday night.
Howard was sharp from the field hitting 14 of her 19 shots from the field and hit 12 of 15 free throws. The 40 points broke the former record of 39 which was held by former Nole Roneeka Hodges
Howard’s 40 points are the most by an ACC player this season in conference games. She only trails Wake Forest guard Chelsea Douglas’ 48 points in non-conference play vs. FIU this past December.
