TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - "We both looked at each other and kind of shook our heads like that's it. One more."

Mike Martin recalled the moment he talked to former Athletic Director Stan Wilcox about returning for one more season in the spring.

"I reiterated to him that how much I appreciated him wanting me to come back for one more year."

Eleven has a young team in his last run. There are two dozen underclassmen are on this roster.

He said there are a lot of talented kids though. He's excited about that, but says they still have much to improve on.

"We have a freshman catcher, a freshman short stop and for me to tell you those guys are battling for position, I try not to play games with you guys," he laughed. "I'll tell you right now if they're healthy and God willing they will be. It doesn't get any easier. We need to get better everyday and that's our goal."

The Seminoles will host Jacksonville on October 19 and the Crimson Tide on October 26. Both baseball games are scheduled for Friday nights during FSU football home weekends.

In addition, FSU will play its annual Garnet and Gold game on October 12 and host the Ontario Blue Jays on Monday, October 15.
