TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Jack Maguire has been named the 2014 Men’s Golf ACC Freshman of the Year while sophomore Hank Lebioda was named to his second All-ACC Team on Tuesday. Maguire is the second straight Seminole and third overall to be named ACC Freshman of the Year.
Maguire won two tournaments and finished in the top 10 in eight of 10 events in his rookie campaign. With a stroke average of 70.67, he is the second-highest ranked freshman in the country.
Lebioda, who was named ACC Freshman of the Year last year, is ranked No. 95 in the nation according to Golfstat as the ninth overall ACC golfer.
With Tuesday’s announcement by the Atlantic Coast Conference, it marks the eighth straight year multiple Seminoles were tabbed to the All-ACC team.
