The Madison County Cowboys have won the state championship title after a nail-biting game against Wildwood.

In the first quarter, Madison was struggling out of the gate, trailing Wildwood 12-2 with 3:23 left. After one, Madison continued to trail Wildwood 18-7.
The Cowboys struggled against the zone and unable to hit outside shots in the second quarter.
At the break, Madison trailed Wildwood 29-19. The Cowboys missed 5 free throws in the final couple minutes of the first half and Travis Jay sat most of the second quarter.
The Cowboys outscored Wildwood 19-8 in the third and led 38-37 as the game headed into the fourth.
The two teams were just just one point a part for the fourth, tying at 56-56 by the end of the fourth and heading into overtime.

Madison then hit two free throws but couldn't inbound the ball. The Cowboys led 62-60 with three seconds left on the clock.
