TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Maclay Marauders needed one more win to claim the Class 1A State Championship on Thursday, and they got it done.
Lakeland Christian jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but Maclay tied it up, and won it late in the second half with a shot from Jordan Pichard.
The State Championship, the first State title for the Marauders since 2004, their fifth overall, and their first in winter soccer. Their previous four championships came in fall soccer, which has since been dissolved by the FHSAA.
