TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Tuesday night, three Big Bend boys soccer teams hit the pitch in Regional Semifinal action.
In Class 1A, the Maclay Marauders hosted St. Joseph Academy. Maclay jumped out to the early 2-0 lead, but with just fifteen minutes to play, the visiting Flashes scored two quick goals to even things out.
The match was still tied with less then two minutes to play, but Lucas Briggs found the back of the net to seal up the 3-2 win. Maclay will host the 1A Region 1 Final on Friday, when they host defending State Champion Orangewood Christian.
In Class 2A, Florida High and Wakulla squared off in a rematch of the 2A District 2 Championship game on Tuesday night. Wakulla took an early 1-0 lead, but the visiting Seminoles tied it before halftime. Wakulla scored on a late free kick to seal up the 2-1 win. They will host Bishop Kenny on Friday in the Regional Finals.
