TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Maclay boys soccer team took the pitch Friday night in the Class 1A Region 1 Championship game against defending State Champion Orangewood Christian.
With a win, the Marauders would punch their ticket to the State Final Four. The visiting Rams led 2-0 at the half, but cut the deficit to just one after a Lucas Briggs goal. That's all Maclay would muster up, as Orangewood Christian held on to win 2-1, ending Maclay's season.
In Class 2A, the Wakulla War Eagles hosted Bishop Kenny in the Region 1 Championship game, and like Maclay, Wakulla fell Friday night, ending their season.
