TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The North Florida Christian Eagle softball team hosted Maclay Friday afternoon in the Class 3A District 1 title game. Winner claims the District crown, and gets home field advantage for at least the first round of the postseason.
Eagles took the 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth, but Maclay charged back, scoring five runs in the top of the fifth. Eagles would fight back, forcing this one into extras, where Maclay came out on top, 9-7.
In Thomasville, the Bulldogs of Thomasville High hosted East Laurens in the first round of the state playoffs. The Bulldogs took game one of the best of three series 16-6, and they rolled in game two, winning 8-2.
