TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Lightning and rain postponed 'The Battle For Meridian Road: Part IV' on the baseball diamond from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday.

Maclay and North Florida Christian are big rivals, and Wednesday's match-up was their biggest to date this season, as the winner claimed the Class 3A Region 1 Championship, and punched their ticket to the State Final Four.

NFC entered the contest with the 2-1 edge, their latest win came two weeks ago with a win over the Marauders for the District Championship. Both Maclay's Max McKinley and Eagle ace Cole Ragans went the distance in a pitcher's duel, and the match-up was won in extras.

Maclay had bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning when Ragans hit a batter to bring in the winning run. The Eagles couldn't respond in the bottom frame, sealing up the 1-0 win for Maclay.
