TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Friday night, area girls soccer teams hit the pitch in District Championship games. At Maclay School, the Marauders hosted Rocky Bayou in the Class 1A District 1 title game.
Maclay held on to the 2-1 lead to seal up the victory, and take the District crown. The Maruaders will host St. Joseph out of St. Augustine in the Regional Quarterfinals on Thursday January, 21st.
In Class 4A, Leon and Lincoln faced off for the District 2 title. The Lions built a two nothing lead on a goal by an Ashley Conrad free kick late in the first half, and they didn't look back. The Leon Lions sealed up the 4-0 win, taking the District title. Leon will host the first round of Regionals, while Lincoln will hit the road.
In Class 2A, the Florida High girls took the District 2 title 1-0 over Wakulla on Thursday night.
