TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Friday, Maclay senior lacrosse player Chad Minter inked a scholarship with Jacksonville University, the only school in the state of Florida to offer Division I lacrosse.
To get to play in college isn't something every athlete gets to do, and Minter said Friday he's happy to be able to continue his career.
"I'm very excited. I've been looking forward to going there since Sophomore year, he said. "There's the beach, which I'm really excited about. It's right on the river, and there's good weather most of the time, so I'm happy."
Minter is one of the top face-off middies in the state, and he played overseas representing the United States this summer.
