VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Two wins stand in the way between high school football teams and a State title, as we're in the State Semifinals in both South Georgia and North Florida.
In AAAAAAA football in Georgia, Lowndes High School is one of those lucky four. The Vikings won their last two match-ups on the road, so they've adopted that road warrior mentality and ran with it.
They're on the road again this week at Milton, and head coach Randy McPherson said this team is battle tested and ready to play.
"They know what's on the line this week. Winner goes to the 'Benz like you said," he said. "We've had a really good week of practice. Our kids are excited, we're going to go up there and give it our best shot. Milton has a good team, lot of talent, so real excited and going up there and giving it a go."
Lowndes match-up with Milton is set for a 7:30 kick on Friday.
