HAVANA, Fl. (WTXL) - Next year, Gadsden County will have just one high school. West and East Gadsden High School's are merging, and while a mascot, school colors, and even a name are yet to be determined, the boy's basketball team already has named a new head coach.
Longtime West Gadsden head coach Andrew Moten will steer the program at the new consolidated high school, East Gadsden Principal Sonya Jackson told WTXL on Wednesday.
Moten was in his seventh year as head coach of the Panthers, leading them to the Class 1A State title this season, the program's first State Championship.
