TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - North Florida Christian is on the hunt for a new head coach, as on Friday morning, Robert Craft announced that he is leaving NFC for a job at North Forsyth High School in Georgia.
Craft was hired to take over the reins at his alma mater in 2010, and led the Eagles to a State Championship in 2011. Coach Craft told WTXL on Friday that it would take a special opportunity to pull him away from North Florida Christian, as he's spent nearly two decades there as a student, player, or coach.
He said the job offer from North Forsyth was unexpected, but he is excited for a new challenge and to compete in Georgia's largest classification. Athletic Director Mike Posey said there is no rush to replace Craft, and he is exploring options of hiring within the program and from the outside.
