TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - We're in the dog days of summer, but for high school athletes, there is no rest for the weary. The summer months are the time to get better, and this weekend, dozens of high school basketball teams are set to do just that.

Florida State hosting their annual team camp this weekend, and a lot of local teams are in attendance.

The Seminoles of Florida High are under new leadership in Charlie Ward, who said he's happy with the way things are coming together. He added it's a learning process for everyone right now, and working in the summer is everything in having a successful season come fall.

"The guys are starting to know and understand what it'll take for us to be successful," he said. "As long as we continue to put the time in in the gym and work hard this summer. Once the fall hits, continue to work continue to progress once the season starts."

FSU's team camp wraps up on Sunday.
