Lincoln 4x8 Relay Team Has Big Goals Following Nation's Best Time

TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Lincoln boys 4x800 relay team has been making some serious waves. After winning the 4x8 at the FSU Relays, the boys had an impressive showing at the Florida Relays, breaking the school record, and setting the top time in the country.

The Trojans got right back to work though, as they have a lot of goals still yet to accomplish. That nation's best time of 7:47 was great, but they believe they can be even faster.

"We just believe we know we can go 7:50 or better, and we know we can go better than 7:45 by State," said head coach Corey Poole. "That was the original goal, and as long as we concentrated on that, that allowed us to get on the leader board as the top team in the Nation so far."

District meets start later this month for Lincoln.
