TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Lincoln High School volleyball player put pen to paper on Tuesday afternoon, as libero Lauren Shively inked with State College of Florida, a junior college in Bradenton.
The senior was second on the team in digs this season, and served up 34 aces en route to leading the Trojans to a Regional Semifinal appearance.
Lauren admits she's a little nervous about moving away from home, but said she's ready for the next chapter in her life.
"I'm really excited just to see what I can do next," she said Tuesday. "I really like the teammates and the coaches, it's really fun. I'm excited."
She said she isn't sure what she wants to study, but said she's leaning towards early childhood education.
