TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The high school football season is dwindling down, as three weeks is all that remains of the regular season.

The Lincoln Trojans got a big win over Leon last week to stay alive in the Class 7A District 1 standings, and on Thursday, the Trojans had the tough task of taking on the defending Class 3A State Champion Trinity Christian Conquerors.

Lincoln scored their first points of the first half midway through the second quarter, after Bill Cobb hopped on a loose ball in the endzone for a safety. That made it 14-2, but Trinity Christian had an answer for everything, going on to win 49-18.

Lincoln faces University High School for Homecoming next week.
