TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Six Big Bend high school volleyball teams continue their journey to the State Finals this week. Up first? Leon and Lincolb, who are facing off for the fourth time this year, this time in Class 8A's Regional Semifinals.
Lincoln led Leon two sets to one in the District title game a few weeks ago, but Leon came back to win.
In the time since, Lincoln head coach Katie Johnson said she's seen her group grow, and they are making sure this time they come out on top.
"I absolutely believe they have what it takes, and they believe they have what it takes," she said. "Leon is a good team and you have to come in every night ready to work and I think just missing that District Championship kind of put that extra edge on them. I think this time they tasted a little bit of success and they want it now."
The Regional Semifinal is set for Wednesday at Leon at 7:00.
