TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) High school volleyball teams in the Big Bend kick off preseason play this weekend. The Lincoln Trojans are part of a tough 8A District 2, but they return a lot of experience off a team that is coming off their best season in school history.

The Trojans lose two Division I athletes off that team, but some heavy hitters return. The biggest difference from last season from this group is the Trojans hunger. Now that they've tasted success, they want a whole lot more.

"They've come in and worked hard everyday and set their goals," said head coach Katie Johnson. "A District Championship is what their sights are on and just what we have to do to get better everyday and grow as a team. Every team in our District has talent and you can't take a day off. That's really what we've preached to them and this year they've stressed that's what they want and they've come in here and worked hard everyday."

The Trojans open preseason play this weekend and kick off the regular season on Tuesday.
