LAKELAND, Fla. (WTXL) - Six Big Bend girls and boys basketball teams made the trip to Lakeland this year for Florida's State Final Four. The FAMU DRS girls won their third straight State Championship, while the West Gadsden boys captured their first.
On Saturday, the Lincoln boys basketball team looked to join DRS and West Gadsden as State Champs, but first, they'd have to get by Sickles in the Class 8A State Championship game.
The Trojans led by two at the half, but Sickles pulled away in the second half, winning 51-45. Tionne Rollins, Trinton Bryant, and Dwight Wilson led the way for Lincoln with nine points apiece.
