TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This week is the week for high school volleyball teams in the state of Florida, as District Tournaments hit the court. In Class 7A District 2, Lincoln and Chiles squared off in Semifinal action, with the winner advancing to Thursday's Championship game against Leon.
Lincoln jumped out to the early first set lead, but Chiles fought back, and trailed by one late. The Trojans sealed up the 25-20 win on a Katie Seccombe ace, and they never looked back.
Lincoln took the next two sets 25-16 and 25-19 to seal up their date with Leon. In Class 3A-1, John Paul II and Maclay will face off for the District title, while Florida High and Marianna will play for the 4A-1 crown.
