TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Lincoln High School is the only Big Bend boys basketball team besides West Gadsden to qualify for this year's FHSAA State Finals in Lakeland.

The Trojans take the court for the first time on Friday against Palm Beach Lakes in the Class 8A State Semifinals, and on Thursday, they got a fond farewell from their peers as they boarded a bus to head south.

This year's trip, their second straight, but this year they're looking to not leave empty handed.

"Our whole thing has been unfinished business from last year," said interim head coach Ray Daly. "We're just ready to get the job done, go down there. It's always great when you have the backing of your Lincoln Trojans, and you have everybody out here- fans, family. It's everybody out here to support us, because it's not only about Lincoln, it's about Leon County, and doing everything we have to do to bring home the trophy."

Lincoln's Semifinal game is slated for noon. If they win, the Class 8A title game is on Saturday.
