LAKELAND, Fla. (WTXL) - The Lincoln Trojan boys basketball team made history last Friday night when they punched their ticket to the program's first ever State Final Four. Fast forward a week, and the boys were looking to make history again, as a win over St. Petersburg in the 7A State Semifinals would put them a win away from a State Championship.

The Trojans jumped out to an early lead, and led 38-31 at halftime. With a minute and a half to go, Lincoln led 65-63, but Darius Banks drained a three to take the lead. Lincoln could never recover, with St. Petersburg sealing up the 71-65 win.

Lioncoln junior Dwight Wilson led all scorers on Friday with 34 points.
