Leon Wrestling Stops By To Talk First State Championship In School History

The Leon High School wrestling program finished 8th overall in Class 2A at this year's State wrestling meet in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Lions had three wrestlers qualify for State this year, with one, senior Gabe Beyer, winning the 285 title. Beyer finished the year 47-0 to capture the first State Championship in school history.

Junior J.T. Grant finished fourth in the 220 weight class, while sophomore Justin Grant took fourth in the 152 weight class. 

The Lions will start gearing up for next season the week after spring break.
