Leon Volleyball Standout Inks With Santa Fe

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For the second straight year, the Leon High School volleyball team made it to the State Final Four, and helping lead the way? Hitter Hannah Rodriguez.

On Monday, Hannah made things official for the next two years of her playing career, as she signed with Santa Fe College in Gainesville. The Saints finished fourth in the Nation last season, and to have a chance to compete at an elite level was one of the reasons she chose the junior college.

To finally put pen to paper is what Hannah called an "indescribable feeling," and one that made all the hard work to get to her signing day worth it.

"It was a lot at some points. It was the hardest  thing I've ever done in my life," she laughed. "It was basically my entire life for the past four years, but to be able to sign today and to have something tangible that shows that I went through all of this and to have validation for everything that I've done is something really, really awesome."

Hannah said she wants to double major in English and Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism.
