TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - High school volleyball's Class 7A District 2 should be called the "District of Death." It's tough. Chiles, Lincoln, and Leon are all volleyball powerhouses, and all are contenders for a run at State. The only problem? They have to get through each other first.

On Wednesday, round two of District competition starts up, and up first? Chiles and Leon. Each match from here on out is critical, as all three are locked at 1-1. The Chiles Timberwolves beat Leon in four sets in early September, and on Wednesday, the Lions are hoping for a bit of revenge, and a leg up in the standings.

The ladies have had nearly a week to prep for the Timberwolves, and they've been thinking about the match since walking out of Chiles with a loss September 10th.

"We've been talking about this, September 30th, this is the date," said Leon head coach Angie Strickland on Tuesday. "We're excited, we've put in a lot of time. I think in the very beginning it's tough. You haven't seen anyone, you're playing different teams and different lineups. Now I think you'll start to see who's going to come out on top."

The Chiles and Leon match-up is slated for 7:00 on Wednesday.

In Class 5A District 2, Godby hosted Rickards on Tuesday night. The home team picked up the four set win (25-21, 26-24, 11-25, 25-20) over Rickards, with Brianna Davis leading the way with five kills and seven aces.

In Class 3A District 1, John Paul II beat North Florida Christian in three sets.
