TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Leon girls soccer team picked up a last second win over District foe Lincoln Monday night thanks to Emma McGibany.
The win secures the top seed in the District Tournament for Leon, and head coach Tony Kidd credits his team's success to hard work.
"We're not the most skilled team. They play together very well," he said. "They come together as a group during the game which is very helpful and they all get along. That alone probably pushes us a little further than some of the other teams, just their camaraderie and their ability to play together."
Leon doesn't play another game until January 7th, when they play Columbia.
