Leon To Rely On Experience To Lead Fresh Faces

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Leon High School volleyball team has reached the Final Four the last two seasons, both times, falling in five sets. Heartbreaking losses no doubt for the girls, but losses they use as motivation in the offseason.

The Lions lost five seniors off last year's Final Four squad, and while there's a lot of fresh faces this season, there's also a lot of experience. Makayla Washington and Shania Cromartie combined for nearly 600 kills for the Lions last year, two pieces to the puzzle that look to lead the Lions to new heights this season.

Head Coach Angie Strickland notes no matter who suits up this season, they will have to work for everything they have.
