TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tuesday was a big day for Leon High School senior Lillian Hanks, as the standout signed with Division II Spring Hill College.
Hanks, a four year Varsity player for the Lions, chose to sign with the Badgers because many family members attended the college, and it just seemed like the perfect fit.
Of the big day? Hanks getting pretty emotional.
"I love everyone here. I'm so glad that I spent my four years at Leon," she smiled. "I'm very excited. I'm very glad that I did this and that I worked hard and got what I wanted. I'm just very happy."
Hanks helped lead the Lions to a District Championship and the Class 4A Regional Quarterfinals this season.
