Over the weekend, the Leon girls soccer team hosted the Cure JDM Classic soccer tournament. This tournament brought together many of the best soccer programs in the state of Florida for a good cause.
Leon assistant soccer coach Lance Kerwin's daughter Grace, is battling Juvenile Dermatomyositis, or JDM, which is a rare disease that effects just 20,000 children in the United States.
The teams have come together to show the family that they do not have to go through this battle alone, and together they are raising awareness for a cure.
