Lafayette entered Sunday as the only local team left in the Cal Ripken State Baseball Tournament.
Mayo opened action in the morning in a match up with South Daytona.
Despite leading 7-3 in the second inning, Lafayette was outscored 8-0 the rest of the way and they would fall 11-7.
That loss meant Lafayette would have to return later that afternoon, to meet Jax Beach in an elimination game.
Jax jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and Mayo could never find the equalizer. Lafayette cut the lead to one but would fall 10-4 in the end, ending our run in 10U.
The 13's, 14's and 15's will get underway next in tournaments that begin next weekend.
