LAKELAND, Fl. (WTXL)- The Lafayette Hornets made their second straight trip to Lakeland Monday to play in the State Semifinals, but for the second straight season, they lost.
The Hornets were led by Jasmine Lewis, who scored 18, but fell 48-35 to defending Class 1A State Champion Wildwood.
In Class 2A, the Aucilla Christian Lady Warriors were also making their second straight appearance in the State Final Four.
Aucilla outscored Calvary Christian 16-9 in a fourth quarter comeback, but fell just short, losing 41-37.
