TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After a three-week absence from the national rankings, Tallahassee Community College moved back into the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Poll on Wednesday at No. 22.

The Lady Eagles, winners of six straight and 10-2 overall on the season, also moved up one spot to No. 4 in the latest FCSAA Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll.

Panhandle Conference schools hold down the top five spots in this week's FCSAA poll - No. 1 Northwest Florida State College, No. 2 Gulf Coast State College, No. 3 Chipola College, Tallahassee and No. 5 Pensacola State College.

At No. 3, Northwest Florida State is the highest ranked PC team in the NJCAA poll. Gulf Coast State and Chipola are ranked No. 9 and No. 12, respectively.

Tallahassee, currently on a three-week break, will resume play December 28 when it hosts the Comfort Inn Holiday Classic.

The next NJCAA poll will be released January 9, meaning the Lady Eagles will carry the national ranking into the PC opener at Chipola on January 5.

On the men's side, Tallahassee slipped four spots to No. 10 in the FCSAA Men's Basketball Coaches' Poll.

The Eagles will aim to snap a two-game slide when they host games on Friday (6 p.m. vs. St. Petersburg College) and Saturday (4 p.m. vs. Daytona State College).
