Lady Eagles' softball tops Panhandle for first time since 1998

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For the first time since 1998, Tallahassee Community College softball is the champion of the Panhandle Conference. The Lady Eagles sealed the accomplishment with a 7-1 victory Saturday over Gulf Coast State College.

Tallahassee's Mariah Rivera pitched a one-hitter in the win, while Alexis Huss hit a home run.

The Lady Eagles will host Chipola College Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The game will be the Panhandle Conference finale.
