CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Miami Hurricanes have extended the contract of baseball head coach Jim Morris. The deal will keep Morris in Coral Gables through the 2018 season.
Morris has led Miami to 21 straight trips to the NCAA tournament and guided the Hurricanes to the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title this year.
Miami athletic director Blake James says Morris' record at Miami is "unprecedented" and that the extension was well-earned.
As part of the deal it was also announced that longtime assistant Gino DiMare will succeed Morris as head coach.
