NEW ORLEANS - Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was in New Orleans on Monday to receive the Manning Award. While in New Orleans Winston received praise for excelling in two sports by the award's namesake Archie Manning.
Manning says he loved playing both baseball and football at Mississippi and admires Winston for playing both sports as well.
Winston is expected to rejoin the Seminoles baseball team for an exhibition game against the New York Yankees in Tampa on Tuesday.
