TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State is ready to host the 2013 ITA Summer Circuit tournament for the southeast region, running from July 8-10 at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
The circuit provides collegiate, junior and alumni players the opportunity to compete in organized events. Although the primary focus of the tournament is to provide incoming freshmen and collegiate players the chance to compete in the summer months, for NCAA compliance purposes, the events are open, meaning anyone is eligible to compete in these events as long as they are a current ITA member.
The ITA Summer Circuit is currently made up of nine regional circuits consisting of four consecutive open tournaments played during July, leading up to the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships in Bloomington, Indiana in August. Leaders in points for each region will qualify for the event.
Draws and times for the event will be posted on July 7 by 4 p.m. on Seminoles.com. as well as ITA.com. Results and updated draws will be posted by the end of each day. The tournament features both men’s and women’s draws, with 64 singles players and 32 doubles pairs in each draw.
