TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Willie Taggart admitted he didn't sleep much Tuesday night in anticipation of spring practice opening on Wednesday.
Why would he though? He's made it clear this job is a dream for him and with a lot of talented returners on the roster, it makes being excited that much easier.
Taggart checked out those talented guys Wednesday in what by popular opinion was a different practice then what the Seminoles were used to. Several of the guys saying that football is fun again and they're more relaxed on the field.
These players respect their new coach, and that's exactly what Taggart wants to get across to them as they embark on this new journey together.
"I don't believe in doing anything and not having fun doing it," he said Wednesday. "I'm big on quotes as you know. Ralph Emerson, he said nothing great happens without enthusiasm. I believe in that and I want our guys to believe in that daily. Want to make sure we're getting the work in."
Florida State's spring game is set for April the 14th.
