Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)-- A day after FAMU-DRS football coach Ira Reynolds was let go, Coach Reynolds says he received a standing ovation at the team's football banquet Saturday afternoon, despite their 0-9 record this season.
Reynolds says he felt appreciated for all the hard work he poured into the program since starting as an assistant at FAMU-DRS in 1992. Reynolds says he was called into the FAMU-DRS superintendent's office and given a letter informing him he was no longer the school's football coach. Reynolds says he is still a teacher at the school.
