Hurricane Matthew Forces Thursday Night Lights For High School Football Teams

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Hurricane Matthew threatened the Florida coast, forcing several high schools to move games from Friday night for safety concerns.

Godby was set to be at Jacksonville Trinity Christian in week seven action, but instead, hosted the Conquerors on Thursday. The home field advantage, didn't prove to be true, as the Cougars fell 42-7.

Branford hosted Williston in Class 1A District 7 play, with the visiting Red Devils winning 40-12. In out of District play, Suwannee picked up a big 51 to 37 win over Santa Fe, while Chiles fell 14-7 on the road at Panama City Mosley.
