TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The FAMU DRS Baby Lady Rattlers have dominated girls basketball as of late. FAMU DRS is winners of three straight State Championships, and they are going for the 4-peat this year.

DRS lost three seniors off last year's squad, but also leading scorer Erin Turral and twin sister Erica, who both transferred to Lincoln.

Head Coach Ericka Cromartie said she has a lot of confidence in the girls she has coming back, noting they will have height on the team this year, and she is excited to get rolling.

"We're going to be young, but like I always say, I never doubt my team. We just have to continue to work hard and just learn through some our mistakes which they will probably make for being so young," she said. "We'll just train them and coach them and keep them on the right track. The young ones are athletic. Mentally, they need more reps, but athletic, I mean, they're there. It's just a matter of time, but we'll get it."

DRS debuts next week at Rickards' Tip-Off Classic. Their first regular season game is against Florida High on the 21st.
