TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Several local high school volleyball teams took the court Tuesday night for District contests. In Class 8A, the Leon Lions hosted Lincoln for a District 2 showdown.
The Lions swept visiting Lincoln to improve to 2-0 in District play. In Class 3A, Saint John Paul II picked up a three set win over North Florida Christian in District 1 action. Alicia Price and Alexis Poppell led the Eagles with five kills apiece in the loss for NFC.
The Florida High Seminoles cruised to a three set victory over Taylor County in 5A-2 play. Nylah Demps led the Noles with ten kills, while Jada Rhodes served up ten aces.
In non-District action, Munroe traveled to Liberty County, falling 0-3 to the Bulldogs.
