THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — A Thomasville High senior has signed to play baseball in Alabama. Jacob Bradshaw plays football and baseball but has signed on to be a pitcher at the University of North Alabama.

On Tuesday, Bradshaw was surrounded by family, teammates, and coaches when he signed his letter of intent.

There are several reasons why he chose North Alabama. One reason, the community there feels a lot like the community in Thomasville. It has the small-town feel that Bradshaw likes.

The coaches at UNA started reaching out to Bradshaw this past summer. "The pitching coach really liked me, liked my attitude on the mound," explained Bradshaw. "He saw me at a Top 100 showcase and he had never really heard of me, but I think I made my name that day."
