THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — High school signings roll on across the Big Bend and south Georgia and, at Thomas County Central, defensive back A.J. Stevenson is headed north to Defiance College.
Defiance is a Division III college in Ohio.
Stevenson said it'll be a big transition for him but he's excited to continue his career at the next level at a school he feels is perfect for him.
"Defiance kind of stuck out to me because it's a second home," said Stevenson. "It's where my mother's from. It's my roots. I'm going to go back and do what I have to do. I didn't let it deter me. I signed where I felt I needed to be."
Stevenson said he's interested in sports medicine and graphic design.
