LIVE OAK, Fl. (WTXL) - Three Big Bend high school baseball teams punched their tickets to the State Final Four this year. Wakulla Christian and North Florida Christian played last week. This week, it's Suwannee High turn, as the Bulldogs take the field in the 5A State Semifinals on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs, left Live Oak on Monday, and the Final Four is a place they don't have much experience with, as this is their first State Finals appearance since 1967. Head coach Justin Bruce isn't worried though, as he knows this team will be ready to go.

"Once the first pitch happens, it's baseball and you know it's nothing different you just have to be able to handle to atmosphere," he said. "We've played a tough schedule this year. We've had a lot of high stress games where our pitchers have had to work out of big situations to help us get wins and I think we're more than prepared to be in this moment even though this school hasn't had a lot of experience in this game."

Suwannee plays Melbourne Central Catholic on Wednesday at 10 in the morning. If they win, they'll play for the Class 5A State Championship on Thursday.
