SNEADS, Fla. (WTXL) — The Sneads volleyball team is now the record-holding Sneads volleyball team.
The Lady Pirates sealed up their eighth straight state title, a Florida High School Athletic Association record.
Sneads returned home on Monday with a trophy in tow and they were greeted by a very proud community of supporters.
Crowns, fireworks, and posters welcomed the Lady Pirates home and this team couldn't be more proud to represent their tiny town.
"These girls keep their composure very well no matter the situation, no matter the opponent," said Heather Edge, the head volleyball coach at Sneads. "There was never a time I doubted them, I knew from day one to the last day, and from first point to last point, they were gonna play their butts off and they went out and did exactly that."
